Diploma in Financial Institutions and Banking
The program aims to provide the working student in the field of finance and banking with sufficient knowledge and skills as enlisted in the Educational Objectives of the School, in order to enable them to integrate formal academic learning of latest developments in their career field with work related experiential training to ally to real-world needs of their professions.

Candidates for the program should posses the minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent from a recognized educational authority and with employment background in finance and banking. In very special cases, where a candidate does not have the academic pre-requisite for a Life-Work Experience Evaluation (LWEA) by the Academic Committee of the University, indicating exemption from basic academic requirement, may be accepted by the School is meeting the minimum requirement of eligibility for enrollment. Candidates of this category with a minimum of 3 years of employment in the field and sufficient knowledge of calculus and statistics will stand a good chance to be accepted.

Requirements for Graduation:

To complete the Diploma in Financial institutions and Banking program the student is required to complete or have the equivalent of a minimum of 60 semester units, of which a minimum of 40 units will be in Finance and banking core and elective courses of the School and, 20 units could be in General Education courses from the Learning Skills area.

There students who have successfully completed the Diploma course and who do not posses a post-secondary academic qualification can apply to the Registrar of the University requesting to be awarded the degree of Associate of Arts in Banking and Finance in place of the Diploma at no extra cost. All students will be supplied with two copies of Official Transcript on successful completion of the course.
