Bachelor Degree Program in Mass Communication and Journalism

The specific educational objectives of the Bachelor of Arts Degree programs in Mass Communication and Journalism are:

1). To ensure that ALL students receive a broad liberal education.

2). To provide a clear understanding of the role of communication media in the society.

3). To prepare the individual for a communication - related career in the Mass Media, business, educational institutions, and governmental and international organizations, by educating them in-depth in one of the most sensitive key professions in the world.

4). To reinforce within the individual such Value Systems that with safeguard the ethical aspects of work in a domain that can enlighten or alienate the mass.

Important Note:

ALL Mass Communication and Journalism students must satisfy both the School and The University's writing requirements. Students must obtain a Grade C or Better (on 4.00 Scale) in COM 100 Language Prerequisite

In order to be granted into their area of specialization after fulfillment of General Education requirements of the degree programs.
