Public Administration (B.A.)
Overview:

The Bachelor of Public Administration degree program prepares students for academic or professional careers in public affairs or policy analysis, covering the emerging management problems of the various levels of government, and of the application of management principles and practices in public administration.

Program Requirements:

Each student must meet the minimum requirements to be accepted into the program by holding a High School diploma or international equivalent. A student may be awarded up to 60 credits for previous academic and work experiences.

The Program consists of eighteen courses, Field Experience, and the Bachelor Thesis Project spread over a three-year period.

FIELD EXPERIENCE:


For a period of twenty-four weeks, a student must apply 4 hours per week of supervised work experience in their chosen field of study. The student should produce a weekly report on the work they have completed. The student, in concert with their mentor, will design a “customized” field experience assignment.

BACHELOR THESIS:


This is a researched project that should be a minimum of twenty five (25) pages and double-spaced. It should be researched, typewritten and bound and your choice of subject should reflect your field of study. The Bachelor Thesis grade will be included on your final Transcript.

Graduate Programs

 Master Degree Requirements:
  • The Master degree requires a total of 60 credits at the graduate level beyond the Bachelor degree.
  • A minimum of 60 credits of instruction must be completed through the University.
  • Cumulative grade point average of "B’ 3.0, or higher.
  • All financial obligations paid in full.
Doctoral Degree Requirements:
  • The Doctoral degree requires a total of 90 credits at the graduate level beyond the Master degree.
  • A minimum of 60 credits of must be completed through the University.
  • Cumulative grade point average of "B", 3.0, or higher.
  • All financial obligations paid in full.
  • A minimum of 12 units must be in dissertation preparation courses, and the submission and defense of an accepted dissertation.
  • Cumulative grade point average of "B", 3.0, or higher.
